History:  Taking their name from the Texas State Capitol in Austin, the Senators won the Texas League title in 1959, defeating Grady Hatton's San Antonio Missions. The Senators featured a 31-year-old Dominican pitcher named Chi-Chi Olivo, a longtime fixture of the Caribbean winter leagues. Olivo's 79 career wins in the Dominican League rank him second all time, behind only his brother, Diomedes, who had 86 career wins.

Despite only playing one year in the majors, Emery went on to hit.400 for Eugene of the Pacific Coast League in 1969, and played for the Hankyu Braves in Japan the following season.
